I used to want to work in an environment where I felt part of a team, surrounded by people every day, sharing laughs, and working together.
Moving to Wales after Covid and leaving my friends and a job I loved at Young Devon was really tough for me socially, though 5 years in and I’ve met sooooo many lovely people and have an awesome husband, so I'm not complaining 😉
I wondered if working for myself would be lonely. But being a photographer means I get to meet and work with incredible people every day, always in new and inspiring environments and Lifft was one of those experiences.
Planning the shoot with Sean Richards from Wales Week / London HQ (Topham's) coordinating on the Platfform Wellbeing Boat Cruise up the Thames, and balancing everything from a day of security work in Cwmbran, jumping in and out of the rain, to school photography that same afternoon was so much fun. I love how everyone gets involved and the atmosphere that surrounds a shoot.
I love the energy and laughter, that comes from working with people. Getting people to do what I want 🙂 driving up and down corridors on a cleaning machine (not sure the technical term) to get that action moment, seeing them happy and relaxed when they love their photos. The Lifft team were an absolute pleasure to work with and so welcoming.
Check out Lifft's new brilliant brand, the fantastic work they do and new website here (saturated with my photos!):
